A letter arrived in the mail today - peculiar enough in its own right (who sends letters?). But that wasn't the real mystery: my painting was on sale. A work I had put on canvas twenty years ago in second grade. I hadn't touched a paintbrush in two decades. And yet my painting was on auction - in Japan.

Shadow of Eternity
In ProgressA dark, epic, high fantasy saga. Currently in development. I finished the first book of the opening trilogy, realized it wasn't actually the first book, wrote the prequel (the zeroth book, I suppose), and reached a final draft before life intervened. When I can give the story the attention it deserves, I should be two to three months from completion. If all goes according to plan (or close enough), I'll be working on this for the next two or three decades. I hope to see you there.
Something
Planning"I had a dream..." Quite literally. This universe started as a dream: a groundhog day-style loop inside a cold war, cat-and-mouse spy thriller with some, uh, non-cold war elements. That led to my first attempt at a movie script. I got about a third of the way through it before I realized I wasn't good enough to tell the story I wanted, so I pivoted. Short stories, a "novel", and a lot of brainstorming later, I'm still not sure what I have. I would call it science fantasy, but at some point there are too many genres to justify the label. We'll see where it goes.
